Also talked to Leo from Weber and he said that he has saw the front galley plug get missed and the rear plunger/ plug get missed as well.

I guess there is a slim chance the new sender is bad. Also the 98 sender is different then later years. The 98 I recall is two prong with later years one prong or maybe vice versa but you would have noticed that when you tried to attach the plug to the sender. The electric plug won't attach if the sender is the wrong year.

I assume you have felt behind the manifold to assure you didn't snap the new one off during the install. That's what happened on mine by a sponsor who has done tons of these. Or it could be just hanging there but still snapped off.

You will have zero pressure on the guage if the sender is snapped off.

To test the accuracy of the new one you might reinstall the old one - since you know the old one worked.

installed the sender with the GM socket with the manifold off. and also verified. Im thinking it has to be a plug , but hoping it is something stupid easy.
