i just converted my a4 z28 to an m6. i also swaped the engine out for one i already had. it is a mildly modified ls1. it ran fine in the other car. (i wrecked that car). now it idles great till it begins to warm up. then it idles badly, knocks then dies. then when it cools it runs fine again. what should i check.

Did you do a crank sensor relearn? Did the crank get knocked at all when you wrecked the other car?
