Default 03 Z06 AFR heads?

I just bought an 03 Z06 and was thinking about putting the Afr 205s on along with supporting mods like LG headers, Cold air, etc. Would the Afrs really help with the stock cam? I Know there are alot of good aftermarket cams out there but I would like to keep the stock one for know. I guess my question is would the Afr heads make a big difference? I would like to know how much power i can get with the Ls6 cam.

They would help make more HP, but I would wait until your ready for a cam and buy both together.

You would have to mill them a bit for LS6 stock compression or even better for 11:1 compression. You will see at least 40+rwhp properly tuned. I would mill them to 62cc and run .040 gaskets.

You can buy some ported LS6 heads from Texas speed and Performance and some 1.85 rockers (used) I think that will put you at 400+ hp at the wheels!

Ported LS6 are half the price of AFR

Vinci did a "head's only" swap to an LS1 using AFR heads. The results are on their web site >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Make sure you don't run outrageous rockers either. I would stick with the stock ratio.
