?

The lifters only go in one way...not sure about the hole...probably an oiling hole you are talking about...

I would not worry about it---->oil lifters, insert into trays (only slide in one way, roller down) and slide into lifter bores, push down onto lobes of cam with pushrods, done

You're good to go..

there is 2 ways the lifters will go in. either with the little hole facing up (towards intake) or down (towards pistons).

there is only one hole per lifter and it can not face the front. it can only be top or bottom

hes talking about the sides of the roller, being able to rotate it on its axis and insert it in different directions.

I think he knows that the roller goes down....

You must be referring to the OILING hole, which I mentioned previously. That would be left and right orientation, not up and down...
That is why I was confused lol...

Orientation does not matter.

Oil will get there either way.

If you are concerned, you could always drill the lifter trays a bit to allow for more oil to come in...I never have, but you can.

Hey. no such thing as a "stupid question"....better to ask than to screw something up!!

It is for this reason that the best athletes still have coaches helping them along the way!

Good luck

it doesn't really matter but I looked at the oil flow diagram and faced the oil hole toward the source of the flow.

It doesn't matter which way the go but i always face them up since gravity will bring the oil down.
