The difference it's pullies & cam but why the C5 it's higher than F-body 40 hp's?

Re: Difference in vette and camaro ls1 That flywheel and rear wheel HP difference is only a 10% loss. I know the cam profiles are different and the exhaust is a little more free flowing on the Corvette. But, I think the big thing is that the F-body LS1 is under-rated for marketing reasons so as to not step on the vette's toes.

Same year LS-1 f-body and C5 have the same cam

Re: Difference in vette and camaro ls1 ´01-´02 f-body and ´01-´03 y-body all have the same cam part# 12561721 in the LS-1 .479/.467 207/196 lsa 116. Check it out. In the earlier models there is some difference fx in´00 there is a different lsa but same lobe. The SAE hp raiting for both cars is fly wheel, but one or both of them is not accurate.
