Default Bore a 5.3L block?

How far can the 5.3L iron block be bored?

And the aluminum block? <-- I believe that one can just be bored to a 5.7L.

Any help would be greatly appreciated folks.

I know you can bore the iron block out to stock LS1 size. Dont know if you can go larger, not sure about the aluminum block either. I would guess you can only hone the cylinders like the LS1 motors.

Yeah I figured that on the aluminum. But for the iron, I wonder if it can be bored to 4.030"? 408 with a stroker crank.

aluminum can go to 3.9 but the 4.0 is for a 6.0 iron, not a 5.3 iron.
