What would happen if you ran pushrods that were too short?

Question What would happen if you ran pushrods that were too short?

I know that you would not be getting the full lift of the cam, but how would it affect the car's performance?

should get noise from the valve train not being tight enough

But that's all? Just a noisy valvetrain? I would assume the car wouldn't run right......right?

Valvetrain geometry will be off and the rocker tip could possibly be moving off the edge of the valve.

Yes, noisy, probably reduce lifter life, if they are REALLY to short then they might fall out and then your pretty much screwed.
