Does anyone have a vid of the GM ASA cam so I can compare it with the hotcam? You all have been a ton of help. Oh by the way, will I need a stall converter if I run wither the Hotcam or the ASA cam?

Ok boys, I'm going to throw in something here. I have an A4 tranny with stock stall. I'm thinking the Hotcam would be better with the stock stall? I would still get the choppy idle and decent powerband, but could still run the stock stall I think? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

also what kinda times are you putting in with the hotcam and ASA cam? i running a lq4 so c/r is 9.4 to 1. is that low for this cam. sorry highjack your thread. i have been what some info on these cams. im putting this in 87 s10 blazer with 4.10 gear and 4l60e trans. so i want to at least get this things quick as i can and also be able to drive it on the street a little.

I suppose you can, but I guess I would probably upgrade just a lil bit to get the most out of it. Do they make shift kits for the goats? Those damn auto trannys really zap the HP on the GTO's and Fbodies!
Well like I say, which ever way you go, you have to complement your mods.
Figure out what YOU want and make the changes so all components maximize each other!
That is my honest opinion!
I'm going tomorrow to straightline performance and tune my car, and hopefully they let me record the runs!!

Well all I can say is straightline performance are AWESOME!!!
Thanks to lil Mike who changed the pulley in about 15min, and big Mike who did a FANTASTIC job extracting every HP out of my cam. I dynoed at 380 on the mustang roller and with the SAE corrected it was 393, which is awesome for a free cam!!!
I will post the graphs and the videos as soon as FQUICK tells me they are ready!!!
