Thats sounds great to hear because last week I just ordered a 224/228 .581/.588 114LSA comp, I knew that this cam wasn't going to be too agressive but still I was curious. The reason I chose this was becasue I had plans of going forced induction but I may swing to a nice set of heads now and was worried I never had a more aggresive cam. The lift and duration isn't too bad but If I knew I was going H/C I would have atleast taken this cam on a 112LSA.

If the advance is not ground into the cam then you need a degree wheel to dial it in.

It idle perfect @ 900 RPM like stock & has zero surge under 1000 RPM in 1st gear pullin out of my driveway. I never expected it to be this smooth of a combo. There is no valvetrain noise so far & my gas milage is exactly the same from what I can tell. And I don't even have a tune on it yet. I can't wait to hit the dyno after I get this LS1 intake swapped out. I got a port/polished Lingenfelter, but the fittings were wrong so it had to come back off for now.
my car is the same way, it starts to surge at 1800,
