Default Chugging?

So I got on my car tonight in second gear. At the top of second starting at around 4k rpms the car starts to do what I can only explain as chugging. It did it on three seperate runs. It didn't see any variations in the rpms or hear any variation in the engine tone. It just kinda jerks along through the upper rpm band.

Has your car been tuned? I remember when i installed my LTs that the car would almost have the same symptoms. When i would get on it everything was fine, but when i reached the higher up RPMS it would sound like a pop and the car would jerk. I even noticed it alot when the weather was cooler.

The car has not been tuned but they have been on there for about a year untuned. It doesn't just do it once, it does it all through the upper RPM band. Not to mention it isn't any thing that could be confused with cold here, even at night.

Check your O2 sensors and how dirty the MAF is. Both can cause chugging if they are bad. So can a fuel pump going out as it would not be able to deliver fuel at high rpn; put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see wazzup. With the MAF buy MAF cleaner from NAPA and spray the snitz out of it.
