Major Problem: Piston doesnt clear Reluctor Wheel?
I'm using Diamond pistons and Manley rods. I just put in the first piston, and the engine will not turn over all the way because the reluctor wheel hits the bottom of the piston near the side. What do I need to do to fix it? The only possible fix I can see is either grinding the reluctor wheel or the piston, but I thought you weren't supposed to do either of those. And the rods clear the block just fine. Plenty of clearance there.
Can anyone give me a solution ASAP on how to make the piston clear the reluctor wheel? I'm trying to finish my engine this weekend.
Thanks

I dont remember ever seeing a piston that had the notch in it, but I will check again tomorrow. Is there anyway I can notch the piston myself, or would it be best to get a new piston from Diamond? Will this effect the balancing of the motor at all?
Thanks again

Thanks Chris,
I'll see you on Monday since none of my pistons are notched.
