how much do you think you can bore a 98 block As the Title says. How much do you think you can bore a 98 block if you can at all?
And what is the bore size and length of the rods?
Is the bore 3.900 3.989 3.903?
Are the rods 6.098, 6.100, 6.125?
And what is the bore size and length of the rods?

Don't bore a 98 block to go bigger. Just go enough to get them cleaned up. Unless you get some pretty bad scratches or other damage, you have two good rebuilds left in them. With a torque plate, I had to go .005 to get a good cleanup.

rods 6.098
The 98 has the thinnest of the iron sleeves. A light .005 hone is all I would do
