Default vig3200 with MS4???

whats up everybody? i currently have a vigilante 3200 stall to go along with my setup. I am looking at changing out my cam to an MS4. I was just wondering if this stall is too small to see the benefit of going with a larger cam. I am open to suggestions for other cams. I called Texas Speed and they said the Torquer V.3 would work with this stall. Just testing the waters for ideas.

if the vig 3200 is really like a 3600 then i think u should be okay. i was curious if that stall would work well with a ms3 and i was told if it was a street car go with a vig 3200!! if it was a track car up the stall to a vig 3600!! i think youll be fine.

Both Magic Stick cams are much more top end cams. My Yank 3600 stall is just right for my cam as a street car. I COULD NOT go lower than it. And my cam makes much better low end power than the MS3, and even the MS4. Go big with either one of those cams since they lack down low. Especially the MS3. It's a great top end cam. Just has no ***** down low. That's not opinion. That's how it is designed. Look at the valve events.

I'd go with a 3600-4400, depending on what the car is going to be more biased to. The 3200 may be doable, but is going to be a limiting factor in the performance of your car.

It has to do with the shift extentions of the verter so the Vig 3200 although would work with MS4 as far as driving (2.5 str), its shift extentions are too low to fully benefit from that cam.

so it looks like im going to need to go have a re-stall done. I am keeping the vig converter, but should I have it restalled for 3600 or 4000? Is the 4000 more like a 4400 or something rediculious???

But thats what I'm running. When I bought the verter it was from LS1SPEED.com and was listed as a 3200-3400 Vigalante. And I swear I've seen that converter stall to 3800 when nailed. I've wondered the same thing about a higher stalling unit but I believe I would advance the cam 4 degrees before I changed mine out. How much would that drop the powerband Predator-Z? I would think rearend ratio would come to play in this also. How many rpms would a 3.73 4L60E drop between 2nd gears change to 3rd? I've never seen anything posted on how many RPM drop between WOT shifts on an A4.

My car actually has no problem at all as my daily driver. Idles great, AC on or off. I really don't have enough miles on the new SB to run it at the track yet. But as a general rule most Big cams like tall gears. You probally have a problem bogging when the converters locked up and your running 55. But thats just my guess. But besides that a MS4 has plenty enough torque at 3200 to pull you around with no trouble.
