Default Camshaft . . . which one?

I have a 98 Z28 (75,000 miles) with all the bolt ons--Lid, filter, LS6 manifold as well as mid-length headers with no cats to a catback. I was looking for a cam that would give me the most powerful while still idling well. Which one have you guys found does this and where can I find it? Also, should I get a rocker arm and spring kit to go with it--would it make that big of a difference?

Thanks again,
Brandon

Default Re: Camshaft . . . which one?

is ur car a stick or an auto? a stick can handle a little more cam than an auto can... and "idling well" is very subjective... also depends on how high u wanna spin the motor... u can try anything from comp cams 212/218-.558/.563-115, which would idle well in an auto, to a tr220-.553-114, which would be a bit 'rougher', and if u had a stick u could try a tr224 on a 114 for a better idle, but would peak over 6000, or on a 112 which would be rougher, but peak lower... always get springs, no matter what cam... theres alot of variables involved in picking a cam...
