Mine is daily driven, year-round. I've got a 221/221 cam in it, and it drives like stock. In fact, I'd like to have a bigger cam in it. If you're buying a new cam, I'd say go at least 224R, any smaller and you won't pick up much of a gain. But don't go too big if it's a daily driver. It all comes down to you, and what you think is "driveable."

been studying this stuff for the past couple weeks... and the TR224 seems like a good fit for a DD... Now I just have to decide 112 or 114

MS4 here, daily driven. I wish it were a little quieter, but I don't want to sacrifice any power. Drives fine enough for me.

I used to DD my car TR 230/236 cam. I never had any issues I just decided to drive my truck more to keep mileage off the SS. Stop and go driving is kind of a pain and I would recomend a 224 or 228 cam for DD.

Thats all depends on the person.

I took over a year to decide on my set-up & I have no intentions of goin any bigger. I'm just gonna wait for this shortblock to go out then go forged 347 & nitrous on these same heads & cam. That should put me in the low 11's with a good rear & tire. And personally thats plenty for me to be happy with & be competitive on the street/track.

Not to mention the great drivability & lighter wear on the valvetrain from the smaller cam.

Same cam as my car but w/ CNC'd and milled ls6 heads. I got it running a few weeks ago and already have almost 3500 miles on it since. Runs fine, I could easily daily drive it, it's been good on a few long trips, good mileage (26ish with some full throttle on everytank so far ). It really comes down to personal preference. I dont think my car drives much different that stock around town other than the clutch is a little heavy (3+ in it now).

It put down 423 RWHP and 385 RWTQ untuned with a badly slipping clutch. The injectors were maxed out at 107% by 6400 RPM. This was with stock intake, throttle body and pulley

Unless it's snowing, I'm driving the SS.
