I installed a 02 LS6 cam in a buddy's car and he finally dynoed it. This was his first dyno, so I don't have any before numbers. Here are the mods on the car:
02 WS6 M6
Whisper Lid
FTRA
FLPs w/ cats installed.
ASP Pulley
Corsa Cat-back
02 LS6 cam/springs
STD:
386 RWHP
375 RWTQ
SAE:
378 RWHP
367 RWTQ
On a side note according to Ed Wright, STD numbers will vary less with changing weather conditions.

Those are some very impressive numbers.
Did you happen to run into any unique problems on the install? I was planning on putting one of these cams in my SS sometime this summer. I might have the install done. I really want to do it myself but I'm kinda nervous about breaking into an engine with less than 7,000 miles on it. Just kinda curious if there are any suprises to expect on it.

LOL! the hardest part if it is your first time to do something like this, is the cuts/bruises/scratches. My first time to take it apart and replace lifter, pushrods, springs and cam took 2 days. The next time I took it apart and replaced the head gasket because I put it in upside down on the driver's side took half a day.

Nice numbers and good info. I never changed a cam in a LS1 and would like to know do you have to take the lifters out a certain way or what? Thought I sen a post about a new tool to leave them in, but cant recall where? TIA. Charlie.

I don't get it. I have a COMPLETE 2002 LS6 engine (read that, LS6 heads) and after a Cartek tune only put down 367HP 358TQ. MAC Headers are the only other mods.
Hard to believe that my stock pully and Flowmaster muffler is robbing that much power.

thats weird because over in SDPC--------------->
they say that you need longer pushrods. but if you did it and there are no problems, then thats all the better. no extra money to spend. more for this![Cheers!!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_cheers.gif)

Great Results!
A lot of people do not realise that the LS-6 casting head really does not give any advantage over the LS-1 casting head in stock cube small-cam applications. I think if you switched to LTs and used a pulley you would see similar results.
I hope people take note of this and start using some of the smaller grinds for stock head applications. I think for a stock headed LS-x a small cam will get you 90% of what the big cam guys are getting.
