I think I'm going to have to stick with either TSP or Patriot.. I can't afford the extra $1,000.. I could put that in all kinds of other suspension mods I NEED..

By the way this is a topic beaten to death on this forum. It gets asked almost weekly
I'm not going to be dick like this guy here. J/k But if you do have the money to dish out extra money then go ahead and get the AFRs. But then on the other hand the MS3 does make alot of power with these heads. You'll see when you research that a few people have done 450+ rwhp with mostly all the bolt ons.

Yeah, the MS3 makes that PEAK power, but have you seen how bad it is down low? Anything below 4k is just sad.

so do you think that the AFR+ms3 would yeild a lot better power under the curve than the PRC's? especially in milled form? i was also considering going with the torquer v3 and ditching the ms3

I think the MS3 is the MS3, no matter how you look at it. It's a top-end only cam. It has no ***** down low. That's fine. It's made to make PEAK hp and it does that well. Tv3 is also a high-revving cam. Let's not kid ourselves and fall into the trap of looking at the name.

I honestly think with all the cams in this world, you're cheating yourself if you're only looking at those.

yeah I have a ms3 in my car right now with 4.10 gears and it still doesn't satisfy me untill I hit above 5k rpm. I'd like a cam that would match well with afr 205's. That's why I haven't gotten anything yet, I'd like to do it the first time and not half *** it. And i like better quality so I think I'll save a little more for the 205's. Now I'm still lookin for a cam, I just haven't decided. I would still like to see 460 rwhp peak with a ported fast 90/90 with heads and cam. Any cam suggestions?

Converter and gears will make up for that ****. And if that doesnt do it, a 150 shot out of the hole, the converter will flash over 4K, and there you go.

Easily achievable with a little as a 228 intake lobe assuming ported FAST 90, headers, your typical bolt-on's, and a reasonably efficient M6 driveline (no very heavy wheels, aftermarket lighter weight clutch, etc.).

Feel free to call me at AFR if you would like to discuss some potential combinations. You can have your cake and eat it to with a well designed AFR 205 set-up....strong flat TQ curve and good HP in the higher RPM's.

Regards,
Tony
