It's a good cam, BUT I still think you have to rev it up decently high to make good power. I think thunder racing says up to 6800. Honestly in Ca, go for a TR221 or TR224. That way you'll still make the same power if not more, AND not have to rev it to the moon.

It doesn't matter what cam you have, you will always make more power with LT headers. I think the thing to realize is that with stock manifolds and cats, the gains from going more and more agressive with the cam begin to get smaller. Eventually, you just end up with a lumpy engine that doesn't make any power.
I'm in the same situation. I've been collecting bits to do a head and cam swap, and I'm debating what to do with the exhaust. I think the MAC mids with cats will get by many people looking from underneath the car. Another option is the BBK shorties. They look nice, and would probably get waived past a visual check even without the EO number. Whatever I do, I don't want to be swapping stuff back and forth every two years.

Seems I am in a similar boat to you guys..
I don't want to be changing out springs every two years..
I am thinking about running the TR224 in a 114 and some Patriot heads..
Probably gonna pick up an LS6 intake this week..

About that z06, if he's already got most boltons, then yes there's something wrong there. He should be around 400rwhp...

Ummm, no, not by any means, in fact thats retarded. It shouldn't be that bad. We have a sponsor that will install a cam with all necessary components and tune it for $1400. So thats a parts and labor price.
