I haven't found a used LS2 block in my area. I'm considering resleeving one either now or later for just under $1,800 (more). The reason for an LS2 vs LS1 is I'd like to move the motor to a newer car in the future.
I've also had my eye on the LsX block which is also about $1,800 at gmpartsdirect or sdpc. It's about 120lb heavier, but according to a GMhightechperformance article it can have about 40lbs machined out of it.
Anyone know where the weight can be pared from? Also, what's the max bore for a street F.I. application? Also, are there 6-bolt heads available?
