is your stock low milage engine idle baby *** smooth or is it just a wee bit rough? inside the car is where im gauging. shifter handle and seatbelts vibrate a little at idle?

Well, mines not stock, I have headers and exhaust and some other misc. mods, but mine idles almost silky smooth

 

Mine stock & all the others I've worked on where a tad rough. It is normal.

 

Even the stockers idle a little rough.

 

Well, mine is pretty rough at times, but I think the cam might have something to do with it.

 

My 02 T/A w/12,000 mi idles smooth.Sounds good when it's cold.I need a cam...to damn smooth for me.

Mine idles pretty smooth, as far as vibration. The idle speed does tend to vary since the addition of the ST3500 a while back.
Heck, I had a '68 Chevelle that would shake you up,and had a classic loping idle,solid lifter cam that would intimidate the devil, but wouldn't hold a candle performance-wise to this LS1 (I rebuilt a 327 HP in '78 for that Chevelle).
Plus I don't have to adjust the lifters / rockers every week.

 

I rode with a friend that has a TR230, and i just happened to look down at the shifter handle

 

Just a wee bit rough (totally stock) but I think I need some new plugs.

 

Mine idles smooth, I have 2700 miles. But it seems to idle a bit low, about 500 in gear, according to the factory tach.

 

1999 30th with 14k miles is pretty smooth but it is a M-6. 98Z with 70k miles is a littl bit rougher, but not to bad at all.
