Pick-up tube to Oil pump flange washer idea Guys,
Do you think a shim/washer fitted ahead of the O-ring on the oil pump intake flange will help or hurt oil pressure?....Why am I asking this you might say?....well...while porting the Oil pump I accidently grinded away some of the flange where the O-ring sits. I had a problem before with this exact problem....only it's not so bad this time. In fact, it fits perfect ...eveything is snug and there's no binding....I used a washer with the exact same OD as the ID of the opening...then made the ID of the washer as close to the O-ring ID as possible...Has anbody done this before?
