Could be a head gasket? I think it could be something simple. I'd pull the head back off and see what it looks like. Did you remember to put the both the plugs back in the head?

Yes i belive both plugs are back in the head i do hope so, i just hope i didn't ruin my ******* car because of something stupid. i bought this car at 18 brand new, with all the slp options it was my dream car. this car only has 17000 miles on it, very well taken care of car with zero scratches in it, and a perfect interior for five years old. I am just sick i guess i will not know anything untill i tear it back down.

Do you think that they will bitch about the block being cracked if the cars has headers and true duals i mean i would just tell them that the car has a coolant leak and needs fixed but i do not think they would like that at all

Not trying to be nasty, but everyone has been talking about this for about 12 hrs now. GM isn't going to fix it. They don't want to fix things they should be held responsible for. I would have had this thing torn apart as soon as it got home. I'm much better about ripping into things than I am putting them back together. Go see what the problem really is before you have a heart attack worrying about it.

That is bullshit. If you ruined your block, man up and take responsibility for your negligence/shoddy workmanship. Integrity, ever heard of it?

P.S.
By any chance can you put together a proper sentence?

Terrible advice, I would never advise someone to bandaid a serious problem like this. Just find out what the problem is and fix it.

i dont know much about cracked blocks but, wouldnt the block have tweaked and thrown off the geometry/spec of all the internals? which would make it run horribly if it all. Again, really not sure but if you think about it makes sense.

yall get off his ***, this aint 4th grade english class with mrs. chokesondick jesus.

Take off the manifold, wipe everything down GOOD. run your fingers over every surface and feel for flaws, theres actually a paint you can buy that will make cracks show up. maybe try that. before you go planning another motor, eliminate the small things first. no sense in dropped 5k into a new motor when its a $50 fix

Shoot me a pm if you need a hand with anything. Your car would run with a cracked block depending on where it is, but if you are seeing oil it is more than likely blowing by from the bottom end and possibly out of a crack. But then again it could be something really easy.

No expert here but if you cleaned everything up good and unhooked the coil packs and had a friend crank the motor over would you be able to see any fluids come from a crack? 2nd idea. Buy a peice of **** car to drive around and pull your motor out make re-build it make it bad *** and take your time. Sorry for your loss.

since my advice is out the window that could have been a temp. fix at least, but maybe the the coolant crossover pipes under the intake did it. these leak on vettes if they are reused, good luck man, youll certanily need it!
