I have a 6.0L block and crank but I'm not sure what car they're out of. It's going into a car with an LS1 computer so naturally I need an LS1 reluctor. On the crank I have the outside (rear most) wheel has 24 teeth. Is that the 24 teeth I'm looking for with the LS1 or do you count the combined teeth on both wheels?
If I do have the wrong setup is it possible to just buy the reluctor wheels and swap them over?
Dealerships are telling me I can only get them with a new crank.

I have heard that the LS2 syle PCM reads a 60 minus 2 crank signal. Wouldn't that require a different tooth arrangement than the LS1 uses? I can't imagine that the difference in signals to the PCM from the crank trigger is simply changed by using a different magnetic pickup sensor. I have never seen the LS2 wheel but it sure makes more sense that the 2 engines use different tooth count wheels.

This is an aluminum 6.0L block so it's some form of an LS2. As far as I know some of the LS2 motors used the same reluctor as the LS1, some didn't. This is going into a car with an LS1 computer so it needs the LS1 style wheel. I just need to know if I count just the one wheel or both when figuring out if I have the 24 tooth or 48 tooth setup.
