what is the best oil pump??
I have 22k on my motor. I want to run a nasty h/c combo (trex not sure on heads yet) and I have an 01 SS which is suppose to have the ls6 oil pump stock. Should I even bother changing my stock oil pump? Should I take it out and port it and shim it???

I don't remember what motor mine is suppose to be for. LS4, LQ4, something with a 4. Too many damn numbers and letters to remember them all. It workls great, except when the oil is cold, I have to watch my rpm. Once I go over 2500 rpm, my pressure goes above 80psi. I have been watching it lately since the weather has got cooler, and seen it hitting 85 psi today. Once the oil gets up to normal temp, then at 2000 rpm, I am making about 60 psi, and about 40 psi at idle. The good thing about the pump is it's inexpensive.
