I think I'm going to try and sell my block as scrap aluminum. I've got a C5 wheel too that's bent. I might just hang it on the wall?

How much can you get for it as scrap? I think I am going to stick with the coffee table idea. I have kept all the other stock parts...haha.

Scrap aluminium is 25cents per lb here. only downside is you gotta take the liners out.(machine work) that unless you have the hookup for free will offset the cost you stand make of of selling it.

Thats the sweetest coffee table I've ever seen other than a hot naked chick spread open holding up a sheet of glass. Than again, I haven't seen that

started work on it today. painted some old rods(black) and pistons(silver) and might hit the block with some paint too. maybe go cruise garage sales looking for cheap table glass tomorrow. The crank is going to become a lamp but the table will be assembled first.

Will you post some pics in here when you are done? I will be interested to see what you come up with.

I got $46.00 for my busted block and oil pan. I unbolted anything steel that I could and left the liners in.

Took a few quick ones on the camera phone. still need to polish the machined surfaces of the block, cover the top of the pistons in felt and get glass.
Block damage

Some pistons bottom unpainted

Block shot with black

Yeah, the problem with my block is it's got two holes and quite a few cracks in it.

That's going to be one sweet table. I might have to haul mine up my steps and start working.

Yeah, it really really does suck.

I am not on fastlouis. I went to a meet once about a year ago, but I didn't feel too welcomed, not sure why.

I am on www.racingadrenaline.com...it is small, but we are trying to build it up.
