2000 Rod bolts? Tried search, acting retarded for some reason.
What months did the factory rod bolts get upgraded? I only want to know if i will need to upgrade mine while doing the cam swap to spin higher rpm or not.

In the later part of the year they switched over to the better rod bolts. Just needed to know what month they did the switch, cuz im right in the later part of the summer.

I don't mind doing it, i just wanted to know if it were safe to raise the limiter to 6500 when i go cammed. Or if i was on thin ice with the old bolts, i'd do it at the same time.
Mines a 2000 but not sure of the build date. It's got 88,000 miles on the stock bottom end and the rev limiter is set to 7k. It spins there like a top (knock on wood) I don't think 6500 would be bad at all. If you got the time though I'd change them for safety but you hear all kinds of stories with the bolts so..............
