Of course it will do something. I don't know how much though. Every car responds different.

More air flow = More power.

Get in touch with Bo White. He did my 5.3 heads & they flowed very good.

If done properly they could do great, If done poorly they could do worse than they are now. How much head porting experience do you have? I've ported heads before and I made the desicion to leave it to the pros as cheap as ported stock castings are now anyways.

a friend of mine got 14hp on dyno after porting the 241 and his cam was 228-230,but i think porting without bigger valves and closed chamber will not give a good result, compared to the time and effort are giving on it . thats what i think, i hope am right.

port them and go with bigger valves. I made 452rwhp threw a 12 bolt with 4.30 gears and a Denny's steel driveshaft with a set of ported and milled 241 heads with a 224/228 baby cam. I haven't seen a aftermarket H&C combo make more with that small of a cam. Not too say that it hasn't been done . Just trying to point out that a ported 241 head in the right hands can make the same or more power than a aftermarket head. If I had a stock rear with stock gears and a stock driveshaft I would have been over 470rwhp. A cam change is in the works to make 470+ with the same heads and drivetrain that made 452rwhp

If you do port them go ahead and mill them. That should give you more power. It worked for me. My 241's were ported and milled .035 w/ a TR224.

Actually Jantzer ported the heads and milled them. I sold them to a buddy that was going with a 224 cam also. I made 360rwhp and 336 tq unlocked 4k stall converter. But it shined at the track though. You can see my times in my sig.

When porting should the intake side be rougher compared to the exhaust, or is that a thing of the past?
