Default Piston to Bore Clearance(Reckless)?

I just got my shortblock back from the machine shop...completely blueprinted and balanced. I gave them a list of all the clearances I wanted to run and they nailed them all!! My piston to bore clearance is set to .0042 with my lunati forged pistons. This is a nitrous motor so I gave them the ring gaps and they set those up perfect as well. Now here is my question. I was reading through the stats of the SLP 382 stroker motor and it said they set the piston to bore clearance to .0025. Is my motor going to be too loose? with the larger ring gaps and larger piston to bore clearance am I going to be blowing smoke on my way to the track? Please give me some feed back. I basically used info from a tech rep at lunati and info from some of Reckless' posts.

Thanks
Josh

I thin about .004 is normal for an LS1 buildup. Any more would result in excessive slap I believe.

Piston to bore clearance is dependant on quite a few things, including the type of piston alloy used and intended use of the motor. Your best bet is to call the piston manufacturer and get their recomendations. .004" doesn't too off the wall. That is where my piston to bore clearance was with the JEs in my 346ci forged motor.
