Default slight tapping in engine

My car is a 02 z28 a4 camaro with 80k. when i start my car its running normal until it gets around 160 degrees. A tapping noise starts to sound in the engine. when i rev the car to 2k or 3k rpm's a few times the noise stops but comes back after 30 seconds or so. could it just need a engine flush. the type of oil i'm using is mobile 1 5w30. what do you guys think. what type of oil additive do you guys use

sounds like a lifter going south. when you are reving the engine it increases oil pressure thereby helping to pump up the lifter. you may also have a bent pushrod which pretty common.
