Good luck. I put my paperwork in to retire at 19 years...2 years, 8 months from Today (1 June)
Yes, I think for my purposes it is fine. I could probably get by with a 222 on a 114 but the 224 will give a bit more power.

I think a cam with 224 duration @ .050" lift is a great selection for a car that has street/strip duty. It makes excellent power and idles great! We just installed our 224R camshaft in a local customer's car. He had Hooker LT headers, Hooker off-road y-pipe, Flowmaster cat-back, our 85mm induction lid with SLP 85mm MAF sensor, stock pulley, and stock throttle body. The car peaked at 394 RWHP through his cat-back! He was getting ready to have a cut-out installed, and he's going to upgrade with an underdrive pulley and ported throttle body down the road. We've had customers make over 400 RWHP with stock heads and this camshaft before. It just takes the right mods to go along with it!
Feel free to give us a call if we can help out. I'll be glad to help you select a camshaft that's right for you if you're still undecided.

Thanks Trevor. I'm also looking at the LPE GT 2-3 cam...know of it? how would that compare?
it is 207/220 .573/.580 118.5 LSA <--that was poted....but i thought the LSA was less?

I'll probably just stick with the 224 then. It's proven. With tuning i should be close to 400. Not really interested in buying ANOTHER Moser...
how do you like those cut 1LE springs? I like the rate/ride but not the height...I've got Koni DAs so shocks aren't a problem...

Trevor, so would you say the 224 for a daily driver, with JetHots, hi-flo cats, a lid, a muffler, and stock everything else? (The headers and Y are about to be ordered)
(It's a 2002 WS6 M6) How bad will it run until I get the tuning, too? I don't want any hot/cold start issues.
TIA!

That's a good rwhp reading for a mostly stock setup. You must have about 350hp at the flywheel, quite a bit more than the advertized 325fwhp! I think the '02s also come more underated from the factory than previous model years.

optional 345 HP option (SLP lid that came with it) I calculated it out to be like 375/405 at the fly. TQ was especially high, I've seen a few with a tad highter HP numbers. I got a good one. That cam and tuning should show me + 60 or so...
'02 have a truck cam in them.
