Lightbulb rocker bearings DESTROYED!!!

After identifying a loud ticking noise in the motor after my new intake and head install, I removed the valve cover to reveal 5 rocker bearings destroyed. The only thing I can think of is the torque incorrect, but I know I did it right. This ever happen to anyone? Now I'm looking into a new set of rockers,,,, what do you guys suggest?

I like my Harland Sharps, if you want to drop the cash for a roller tip.

I would just get some rebuilt stockers. Some company rebuilds them with better bearings if I recall correctly.

can anyone go over with me the proper steps to torquing down the rocker arms? I think I did it right, but know Im getting some information about rotating the crank so that the #1 piston is TDC and then doing all the drivers side rockers first... and then opposite with the other side.

Here is the correct procedure. Note also, not sure how many miles you have on your rockers, but you have upped the loads on them. Faster accelerations, heavier springs, possibly higher RPM. If they were marginal this is enough to finish them off.

Yea..good stuff! Thats what I did. I guess I never really thought of it like you put it. The lift on the MS4 is a little high, and I do have 70k on the motor. Thanks for the input.
