Default Dead lifters?

Got the car back together a couple weekends ago and it seems to have a little more valvetrain noise than I think it should. I thought maybe wrong size pushrods but after checking several valves to get .080 preload I am calling for 7.330-7.350 and I have 7.350 so that is probably not the problem.

What I did notice is out of the 8 valves I check so far 2 of them I can just compress the lifter plunger pushing down with my thumb. What do you guys think? Collapsed lifters?

No its a used engine but it does have apox 200 miles on a new set of Comp 921 1.44" springs valve springs.

The farther I go in to it I am not sure about being able to push the lifters down is a problem or not. I think just turing the motor over and over getting each valve on base circle caused the oil to push out of the lifters. When I started the first 5 were tight then 6th, 8th, 10th,12th13,14,15,16th were all where I can push them down. Some are worse than others though. Two of them take almost no pressure at all.

no comments? I know the answer. I just wanted some experienced 2nd opinions. My rockers are fine and my pushrods are right so the only other thing it could be is lifters?

I just wish I would have changed them out while the long block was still on the stand. is what it feels like knowing its got to come apart again.
