Default Should i replace my lifters?

Well i am thinking about stepping up and ordering a bigger cam (MS4,MS3,F14,etc) for the weekend warrior and i was just wondering if i should take the time to replace my lifters. The only reason why i am considering it is because i have a brand new set sitting in my room. I had bought them for when i did my head swap but i changed my plans. But i really dont want to pull the heads right now but if its going to save my motor then i will. I am about to hit 80,000 miles on my car so i am pretty sure i should replace them but i wanted to get ya'lls opinion first. Thanks in advance.

When I changed my heads and cam I went with new lifters. Why not replace them its cheap insurance saves you from replacing the old ones if they go bad. I put in some ls7 lifters and everythings golden.

Are they comp r's or just the 875-16's? Make sure they are setup right if you decide to. It may be a smart move to do it. You already have them. The only thing that I would not look forward to is taking the heads off. But that is just me.

Yeah, make sure if they are an aftermarket lifter, that you set preload correctly (like the comp r's).
I purchased some GM LS7 replacement lifters when I took my motor apart. They are very nice, and can withstand whatever you throw at them on the street
I spin to 7200 and never worry with my lifters, or anything else for that matter.

Good luck!

I'm not planning on replacing mine unless I see excessive wear on the stock cam.
