Default Patriot heads gains? anybody?

i'm really thinking about picking up a set of Patriot's Stage 2 LS6 style heads, in the 59cc model....

i'm just wanting to get the opinions of some people who have them or a very similar head and what kinda number they put down and/or ET's they ran...preferably before & after if possible...

thanks

If you search back less than 3 pages you will find several comparison threads and others regarding these heads. I know search isn't the most promising tool right now, but you will find a lot of info just flipping through this section page by page.

put a afr, dart or rhs head on it, then you will get what you are paying for.

So you must have had a baseline, what was the previous heads?

that's what i'm trying to stray away from with this car. airflow is airflow and i can get what i want with Patriot heads (i think...hence this thread). $2400+ for a set of heads is just out of my budget...i'm not saying they aren't worth it, just that they're too much for what i need....

...now, when my SR 427 gets under way for the race car....yes, i'll have AFR's or some ET 235's or something similar.....

i hear you, but if you can budget minor port work in with your patriots, you will see alot better results.

JPH, it almost sounds like you put on a set of stock UN-ported LS6 heads and only gained 9HP. That would sound about right. Stage 2 port and polished patriot heads should make well more than that. Specifically what patriot heads did you use?

#2013 on the box, chambers mearures 64.2cc and they were fully cnc'd ported, and no guys the dyno isn't broke and the tune isn't off. just not impressed with results, so i thought i would share it with you guys. you will get many opinions on there heads, just giving you mine and the results i found.

Thats a shame...

I still cant help but think that something else was causing problems for you. Added compression alone is likely worth that much, assuming proper tune.

But you certainly have the right to be uninpressed, I just hope you gave it a thorough troubleshooting before just blaming the cheapness of the heads.
