Default TR224 Or TR220 Or Something Smaller

Ok car is in sig. I need something streetable with lope. I also need something that I can retain remotely good gas mileage. I put over 75 miles on my car a day, as its my daily driver. Im looking for around 390rwhp. Do I need 114 or 112 and I am currently at 368/378. I have ls1 edit so tuning is not an issue. Uf none of these work then maybe the ls6cam ? Car is a 6spd.

Thanks
Nick

Ls6 won't lope at all, and a TR220 has very little lope. I think you need a TR224; get it on a 112 if you don't have to pass emissions, 114 otherwise. If you order before the 12th, you can get in on a group purchase deal from Thunder Racing.

Hi

112 & 114 LSA, both's are very well but the best for M6's (6spd) 112 LSA, about the TR224 cam is very nice for daily drive and in rwhp, with TR224 you can look around 390rwhp, and you can find many users here for TR224 cam, after the new set-up the tuning (LS1edit) it's necessary.

Keep in mind that the LS6 cam's 2002 is better than 2001 the difference between 01/02 :

2001 LS6 Cam: 204/211 .525/.525 116

2002 LS6 Cam: 204/218 .551/.547 117.5

If you get LS6cam 02 you'll be more from 20 to +30 rwhp.

Good luck

Either one of those cams will put you over 400rwhp with what you've got right now. I don't think the TR220 has much lope. I think you would be very happy with the TR224 on a 112lsa. Nick, you can hear my car if you want---I have the Hotcam and haven't tuned it yet and idles very well---the TR224 will be even more well-mannered. I have also seen ppl get 45-50rwhp with this cam. How would you like 415-420rwhp?

Nick,
I agree with the statements above. I had both the TR224/112lsa and TR224/114lsa and they both idle very good for a bigger cam. I had alittle surging with the 112lsa cam in my A4, but in a M6 it idles even better. Gotta love those M6's Good luck.

Ever think of just leaving it stock?

Why do you want the car to "lope"?

If it was me, I would opt for a TR220

TR 220 114 lsa or the TR215/220 115 lsa. The bigger lobe seperation will improve you gas milage. Our stock cams have a 117.5 lobe seperation. thats why we get great gas milage. If you go with a 112, you gas milage will suffer and you probably wont pass smog.
