I just ordered a comp cams 228/230 .571/.573 on a 112 part # 54-428-11 for my 02 Z06. Now I'm afraid i may have gone too big. I will be installing the TPIS long tubes with the 2 3/4 random tech intermediate pipes when i do the cam. So far my car has a Vortex intake and Borla stinger exhaust-dynoed 376/367 and runs 11.6@117-118. I was going to go with the smaller 222/224 566/571 112 (part # 54-426-11)but after seeing the results of the G5X2 I figured maybe bigger could be better. I don't mind a choppy idle but streetability is a concern-I drive my car everyday so it has to be driveable. Future mods will be 3.90 gears and ported heads-will this cam be streetable, or did I make a mistake?

You might want to invest in some good springs. Most people around here go with comps 918's. Im not sure if you would need retainers or not.
I just installed a 224/224 .567"/.567" 114LSA (with 1.8 roller rockers)custom grind and its running fine with the new springs and retainers I bought. check out thunder racings valve train (internal engine) section
