TSP's cam is the same exact thing. Lope is determined by overlap of which this cam has the same exact amount as TSP's. TSP also sets their idle with this cam at 850rpms. If you lowered yours from 1k you would have more lope as well. To figure overlap there is a formula that is pretty simple. Do a search for it and you will see it is the same exact cam specs wise and overlap wise.

Well this seems like a tried and true set up..
I was going to do the TSP 233/239 112 LSA cam with Patriot LS6 heads and an Underdrive pulley.. I already have an LS6 intake but want to do a FAST 90/90..

Can anyone give me a reason not to go this route??

Thanks

Not really, it works for me. I put my #'s down with an LS6 manifold. Im adding a 90/90 probably sometime later this year after the fuel system is finished. I should be above 450rwhp for sure after a re-tune. I would suggest getting some gears though (if you dont already have em), this cam makes power up top, so you wana stay in the rpm range.

From dyno #'s that i have seen on here, i believe that the 233/239 is comparable to the V.3, depending on your setup. The V.3 has a rougher idle and more lope, and is available in lower LSA. But the MS3 has higher peak #'s than both of them. But if you go with the 233/239 i would deff go with the 112 LSA not the standard 113. It just doesnt lope enough for me... and you gain a bit more torque.

The Ms3 and the 233/239 I wouldn't think that it would be too different in the way that reacts. TSP actually suggested the MS3, mainly because the kid there was using it as a daily driver cam and was very happy with it. the torquer is going to be a different monster. Patrick G would be the one that could answer your questions the best, but you need to know what your goals are and what is it going to be used for(track, daily, weekend, ect..). but I'm very happy with the cam, even though it is choked by the ls1 intake,. Oh and I'm also on a 112. hope I could help

I am having this cam installed w/ boltons etc... next week. I will let you know the results. It will be on a 112 lsa as well. Next up will be a set of Trickflow 215cc heads with a Vengeance racing ported fast 90 and EWP around March or whenever I pull her out of storage again. Shooting for 475+hp and 440+trq at the wheels on motor.
