1998 T/A w/ STS

I just had the T56 replaced with a 4L60E. The tune wasnt right and burnt up the 3-4 frictions and band. so i had it rebuilt again.

Took it to a shop to take out the tranny. Had the tranny rebuilt and shipped back to the shop to install it. They install it and now the car wont start. It was fine when it was dropped off and drove there.

When you turn the key, nothing happens. All the lights, dash etc... come on but when you turn the key nothing. The starter will start to make one click after about 3 or 4 trys. Took the starter out and took it to autozone to test it and they said it was fine.

any suggestions?

Did you have the cpu reprogrammed after the rebuild again?

 

yes, we where thinking maybe the cpu got corrupted or something like that. The car was down for 2 months and just sitting there and battery died, but battery is fine now. 12V

I read the file and uploaded the one i thought was in there and everything matched. So its not that :-(

Is the security light on or flashing?

 

i have vats turned off, is that what you mean ?

 

the light is flashing and when you turn the key, it turns off

 

You could start by checking for 12 volts at the solenoid wire. A no start is pretty straight forward as far as diagnostics are concerned.
Get a starting system wiring diagram. Shouldnt be too hard, esp for a shop.

 

nothings working.

All they did was taking the tranny out and put it back in.

Is there anything that could have gotten hit or pinched ?
