Default Video of motor shaking

All of a sudden my motor starting smoking black, smells real rich, wondering if it is a tune problem or a motor problem, let me know what you think.

The shaking could just be worn out motor mounts. I don't have smellovision or volume so the rest is hard to determine.

In my 96 firebird, the car was shaking and so was the motor. I took it to Formula WS6 and he said it was a blown head gasket.

Do you have an SES light? Sound like you have a map sensor or maybe even a coolant sensor that went bad. Till you get it fixed cover it up so it isn't so cold.

No ses lights, car runs great, other than at idle, last time at the track it went 10.84. I hope it is just a sensor or something cuz it will burn your eyes at idle.

I had the same problem on another car years ago. Ran great while you were on it but wanted to stall and run poor at idle. It turned out to be a bad vacuum leak. In my case a vacuum hose blew off, but it could be an intake leak or something similar for you. I see you have nitrous...did you get a nitrous backfire maybe. That could have cracked the intake where you can't see it.

Just some thoughts....I hope you get it solved.

My SS did that until I put poly motor mounts in it. That fixed it!

Mine shakes pretty crazy, but because of the cam. Prior to that i noticed it would shake a bit, but i was told it was normal since the V8 is not one of the smoothest running engines.

Default mine does it too

mine does the same thing. at idle and also vibes hard in third gear on my a4 at above 3400 rpms or so. i am currently thinking its a belt/pulley issue or unfortunately an unbalanced or flexed/cracked crank. i have made a few 160mph runs before and im sure it didnt like it. it sees some track time once or twice a month. 2 to 3 runs per visit. i already replaced spark plugs with ngk iridiums and msd 8.5 wires. have all new intake gaskets and saw no cracks while it was one...cleaned the TB good and checked the ls6 intake for cracks. new valve cover gaskets etc.....i also have poly mounts that are brand new and it was doing this before i put my cam in and its not a radical cam at 114. if its the crank ill be devistated. because if i am going to have to pull it....i am going to just get another and forge the whole damn thing. i am in the market for a used d1sc system. trying not to pay 9k for one.

Damn, I would without a doubt say you need motor mounts. As for the "rich smell" I couldnt tell ya. Are you sure the smell isnt in your head?

misfire.

or if your cammed that the nature of the beast. Mine shakes like crazy on the stock motor mounts and the 112lsa ms3 cam.

starts pulling plugs and checking them. If any are fouled/burnt up, do a compression test in that cylinder.
