Thanks.

Do you have a patriot cam already? Or are you going to buy one regardless? What do you plan on goal wise for the car?

Goals:
>400 HP
low-mid pull
spend at max 1900 for cam and assembled heads (i'd like to shoot for under)

Don't have one yet, but i'm looking at their new cam grind (225/229 .580"/.590" 114 lsa). I'm shootin' for a 112 LSA but we'll see what Patriot can cook up for me. I'm getting a set of their stage 2 5.3 heads as well.

I just want opinions on these cams b/c i can't seem to find any testimonies on them.

I would go with a custom grind honestly. That cam isn't a real popular design like the 224/224 or the 228/230. Why do you want it on a 112?

Reason i'm looking at that cam is because it's been tested with their heads for good results (or so i've been told, still waiting on some paper).

Want the 112 b/c i want the power to come on as early as possible and i want a real heavy lope

Im running the 226....its perfect for daily driving and a track trip evry now and then......the low and midrange pull from this cam is pretty damn good.....i dont have numbers cause i have been running a mail order tune cause i was waiting on a ls6 intake...ive got the intake now so just waiting to get scheduled in for the tune.....Ive been to the track before the ls6 intake....I went from 13.7 before stall and cam to 13.1 afterwords....Im sure this intake and a real tune it will be a solid 12.70's-12.80's car....when i ran the 13.1 i was only launching at 1400 rpm...ive pulled 2600rpm launches on the street so i think it had a 12 in it before the tune and intake....plus it sounds way bigger than what it is. i love it.....those times are with a DA of 5600.

im still driving the car utuned, i also got stageII heads, FAST90mm NW90mm all bolt ons, and all the free modds,

my first impressions of the cam is.. it has awesome low down torque and its realy healthy over the mid range, i can spin my tires in 2nd gear now on my 315's.

its sounds like a huge bitch.. lopes and yeah, just sounds good,

but the problems with it.. is that there are cams there that gives more gain, and gain is what i wanted, i ordered the 232/230 (i think) patriot cam.. but they stopped making it so i got this one,

i will spray 150 on that, and during to the cams good toruge and mid range i think it will be fine,
but still.. i wish i had got in the 23x/23x 6xx.6xx rigth away..

I got the patriot 226/226 cam, and also ther stageII ls6 heads.

Still tuning at the moment, seems to have the awsome lumpy sound on idle, still tuneable as a daily driver. I know this is only a mild cam, but I think its great. Too much valve overlap and I'll have major trouble passing emmisions. Took it to 5000rpm about 150miles or running things in, and it pulls dam good. I'm usually hard on the gas, but this made me shake and go a little white. I like it.

Dyno numbers should be happening this Saturday.
