I have a forged 6.0 in my Silverado SS, it has 68,000 miles on it. It has been in the truck since it had 27 miles on it along with the turbo system, although two different turbo's have been on it in that time. It uses about one quart in 2500-3000 miles. I am going to pull it out when it hits 70000 to get a look inside.

5K on mine, depends how I drive. I'll burn about a quart in 2000-2500 miles, but apparently thats fairly common, esp. with a 4" stroke. I put valve cover breathers on it, that seemed to help quite a bit in the lower rpms.

litle over 3K miles on mine, barely had her first oil change since the install. Oil consumption is alright i guess, lost less than a quart before the oil change. The pressure was fine though so i didnt worry to much about it.

My forged motor has 7500 miles on it in a little over 2 month. Pistons rings are gapped at .020" top compression ring, and .024" 2nd compression ring. I put 5.75 qts +/- in which shows a little over full on the dipstick. 3k miles later it's at the very top of the full line. I run Castrol 20w50 dino oil in it right now. I couldn't be happier with it so far. I drive this car about 30k miles a year

edit: oil pressure on start-up is 58 psi. That lasts for about 15-20 minutes till its heat soaked. After that it will never ever go below about 38 or so. Not even when it idles. Under throttle its always well above 42psi.

Wow... I changed my oil at 15 min, 25 miles, 100 miles, 250 miles, 500 miles, 1000 miles, 2000 miles, 3500 miles, and I'm going to do my 5K change just before I put it away for the winter. What can I say, I'm a cautious ************! Running on Shell Rotella T 15w40, I think I'm gonna put Amsoil in at the 5K mark. After that it will be 3K intervals.

I did almost the same. But I always used regular non-synthetic oil. 94,000 miles later on my stroker engine, all is perfect. Perfectly smooth, powerful and silent.
I personally think synthetic is a waste, as long as you change your oil every 2,500-3,000 miles non-syn is just fine for any engine.
94,000 miles kind of proves it.
