the 5.3 heads are higher compression then the ls6 heads

ive never! heard of ms3 5.3 heads
unless he means the aftermarket heads like tsp is doing the 2.5 5.3 heads w/ all the upgrades over say stock/factory 5.3 heads. and they are the same castings though.

No shot of NOS !!!!!!!!!1 A4. The regular 5.3 stage 2 heads are the same heads as the ones i have with the ms3.If you order the 5.3 heads and ms3 at the same time TSP will sink the valves a LITTLE deeper in the heads so that the MS3 will clear so everything will fit. If you just order the heads,and then get the cam without telling them this, clearance will be too tight!!! Make shure you tell them what cam your gonna run.

So If I called TSP and told them I already have the MS3 cam in the car and would like there 2.5 5.3 head they will mod the head a little for this cam??? What does it bring the compression upto if you use the stock thickness headgasket? I have heard this cam loves compression but its hard to bump it up without flycutting and I'm not doing that. So do these heads flow as well as a set of CNC'd 243's?

I run TSP 5.3 stage 2.5 heads with dual springs and the 2.02 intake valve with my MS3. I run SVO 42# injectors (green tops) and made 479/416 with a halfway tune! There is still more left in it. Heads are a great value for the $ and the cam is great as well IMO.

I did not have to flycut, but PTV clearance is as close as I want to be!

Mine is the exact same as yours. Mine trapped 129 mph this past week and we babied it off the line (1.91 60ft), short shifted the car (5500 RPM) and stopped the clocks with a 11.15

Whats your race wieght, and what kind of suspension mods do you have? Any times before the heads with jus the cam or did you do both at the same time? I'm wondering how much time ill knock off my ET with these heads. Anyone have before and after heads times?(just adding heads nothing else)

My CETA is a full weight car that still has the back seat and spare tire in it. I'd say the race weight is close to 3800-3900 lbs. The only suspension mod on the car is lower control arms. Bone stock suspension, 6 spd, LS7 clutch and stock 3.42 gears. I did everything at once but when the car was lid only it went 12.8xs on Nitto DRs. Just to update the times we made another shake down pass last night and it went 7.01 @ 100 with a 1.71 60ft and we are still trying to sort the car out. It has a hell of a lot left in it
