Default New trex question. Not entirely trex related.

I recently installed the trex in my car. Fired it up and everything was great. I had a check engine light because my tempsensor was busted. A few days later I scanned my motor at the hobby shop on base, and it said my map voltage was high. Well while inspecting it I realized my brake booster and map sensor were both not pluged in. Now when I start the car its actually more difficult to manage until its warmed up. Any ideas why it seems to run better with the map not hooked up and an almost dime sized vacuum leak?
