Default TR224/LS6 valve springs

The new motor I just picked up has a TR224 and LS6 valve springs. Its been running this way for a while, but makes me nervous. Is the .013" really something I should be concerned about? Thinking about replacing the springs with some 918's, but can I use the stock retainers?

Thanks guys.

Replacing to 918s would be wise, yes you can use stock retainers.

I used 918s on my TR224 with stock retainers. Non TI. They are very good for that cam.

At this point, I would be concerned about other cheap routes the previous owner did.
