Default Idles fine, but seems to have a miss around 3K

Car is a 98 T/A w/ 4L60E

I'm thinking it may have bent a pushrod, the other day when I started having transmission trouble and it smacked the rev limiter a couple times. Idles just fine, no miss what so ever, but around 3K, its starts missing. Not a single light on the dash or any noticeable noise? Any clue as to what it could be. Its got a small cam in it, everything else being stock as far as I can tell, at least what the kid I had bought from it knew. It started doing this sat. on my way home when the trans and or torque converter went south. Could the torque converter be causing it to sound like its missing when under throttle or just slighty revving it while in park?
