Default Hey Guys,What do you think of this cam?

I have just had a Comp Cams 224 224 .536 .536@.05 on a 112 installed in my 99 LS1.What are some good thing about this cam? Will it make my car faster over the 1.85 Ratio Rocker arms that I did have?Right now I am NOT impressed with this cam,But the idiot that did this cam cant tune for S*$!.
So I am having some one else now tune the car for me.I am going to go with some CNC heads in a year or less,Hopfully lessWhat do you guys think of this Cam?
Thanks much,Scott

I like that cam. The duration of a cam helps you more than the lift in making power, and this cam has the right duration to balance power and driveability. The lower lift should be perfect for making your springs last. With the right tuning it should perform great. I've seen an LS1 car with a 224/.533 112 put out over 400rwhp.

You'll probably pick up another 20hp after tuning plus a lot better driveability. A high stall would probably help also.

Yes Cal ,I had a Vigilante 3200 and had to upgrade to pump#7 3600 stall.Do you think this will work well with this cam?The 3200 was so tight it wouldnt even idle
