Default Time for cam upgrade...how big w/ this setup?

I want to squeeze some more out of my current setup before I dive into the bottom end....so I am going to upgrade from the TR224/114 to a big standard split cam. I have TEA 5.3L S2 heads milled .015. How big can I go w/o doing any flycutting? 226/336....228/?.... I will also go with a 112 lsa. I am going to finally get my nitrous hit where it should be...

randy, IMHO i really dont think you will gain much untill you start going with the big boy cams (like that new raging grind ) since you are already at a 224 duration cam. my 230 style duration will make more power, but i think it isnt worth it untill you can fell good about spinning the motor way up. my cam peaks higher than mark's new big grind too

i say keep what you have, a very good cam, untill you put the balanced forged internals together, than get ready to make insane power!

Hey John...thanks for the insight. More than anything I want a better setup for the gas....and it is not a big deal to try a new cam setup. I am seeing some good cam only numbers from these big durations...but am limited due to the heads I have.

With my raging motorsports stageII 5.3 heads, I have a custom comp grind that I made up. I figured it will work well with the N2O. 228/236.571.602 111LSA. And let me tell you, this cam LOPES
