Head question
Head question Im currently getting ready to my cam swap in my 98 TA. Im going with a TSP 224 224 .563 .563 cam along with the obvious things like valve springs, timing chain, pushrods, oil pump. I also plan on putting an underdrive pully on as well since im doing this. It dawned on me. I have access to 2 different sets of heads, but dont know if its worth it or not as im on a budget build so to speak.
A set of stock 5.3 heads 862 casting and access to set of stock 5.7 heads off of a 00 TA. My question is and I did search just nothing concrete came out of it. Do i put one of these sets of heads on to gain anything or do i just stick with my stockers for now. there is a local shop that does great work and isnt go expensive that im sure i could afford to have a little work done to the heads but which set is worth it. Im not looking for huge numbers just some decent numbers. Thanks for any input folks.
