Thinking about ordering 383 from TSP.
Should I get rid of the 5.3 heads for somethings else?
Also any have any advice on a good cam profile for the TSP 383 or any other experience?
I know their 402/408s are beasts but I don't think thats the road I wanna take.
The 402/408s are tempting. I know the 5.3s heads won't work on the 402/408.
Just trying to get an idea of what I want to do with my deployment money when I get back in 6 months.
if I were you, I would sell the heads, and pony up to a 400+ cubed motor. The difference between a strong 346, and a budget headed 383 will not justify the money you will wind up spending.
I plan on building a 383 with Lunati goodies only because I can use my stock block
The car is also a nitrous car, so it will pull like a 400+ cubed motor when it is done. I just do not have the funds for a larger motor at the time. It will really come down to how much money you REALLY have to spend, and the ultimate goal of the vehicle.

I want my camaro to sound just like that. lol I also like the 383's name plate.
I want an aluminum block stroker because I'm also doing weight reduction mods like aftermarket k-member, torque arm, ect ect.
