If you want to know how to check your P/V clearance the easy way, send me a PM. All you will need is an adjustable pushrod, feeler gauges, and a way to remove the valve springs. No clay, no checking springs, nothing else. The hydraulic lifters do make it a little trickier, but that just means you will have to pay closer attention.
